AnthroKafe is an initiative aimed at building communities of practice by providing mentorship opportunities for students and professionals. It serves as a meetup space for anthropologists and leaders in Kenya interested in exploring how anthropological ways of knowing can be applied to understand organizations, people, and societal structures.
Through readings, discussions, and conversations with leading anthropologists across diverse fields—business, user experience, heritage management, entertainment, architecture, and social enterprise—participants gain practical insights into applied anthropology beyond academia. The project also delves into the nature, pace, and depth of anthropological research in different industries, career growth strategies, and ways to build professional identity and communicate value effectively.
